Donating

  • In our guild, there is no set required donations. We do not require any donation of gold. However, it is important to understand that all the guild bennefits are paid for out of guild funds, and guild funds are generated solely by guild member's donations. There are real expenses, some daily and some less often that need to be covered from guild funds. The daily expense is repairs using guild funds. Other expenses are the mount benefit at certain levels, assisting members with gear, the cost of mailing items to guildies, and the cost to expand our guild bank to additional tabs. Your donations, even at a lower level, make a big difference.

  • We do not expect you to donate everything you have. You will still be responsible yourself for many expenses such as training, gold for your mount, and other things you choose to buy. A good general guide is to donate about 10 percent either of items, or if you prefer to auction items yourself, then donate 10 percent of the procedes.

  • How to donate: Donations are a major criteria for guild promotions. To be sure you get credit for what you donate please do one of the following things: 1. Put donations in the guild bank, 2. Mail donations to Fire, 3. Give items dirrectly to a guildie that needs them, then send mail to Fire letting her know that you did so. 4. Donate gold through the guild bank interface.

  • Guild bank organization: thanks to generous donations we often run out of space in the guild bank. When you make a donation, try to put it on the tab, and in the section with like items. If you're not sure, please ask. If there are already 2 stacks of the item you are donating, do not put it in the guild bank, mail it to Fire. A donation of something that we already have 2 stacks of is truely needed and appreciated. We go through a great deal of raw materials helping crafting professions get leveled, and the more we have the quicker that will go, additionally a large portion of the guilds gold is genertated by auctioning donations or crafted items.

  • Please do not donate grey items. These items should only go to a vendor, and should not take up space in the guild bank.

[list]Our guild strongly supports leveling professions. This is a great way to equip our members in a cost effective way, as well as a great way for our guild to generate funds. (Please read the post on professions for more information).

  • If you have a crafting profession and use guild materials for the purpose of leveling, the items you craft should be donated back to the guild in one of the following ways: 1. Put it in the guild bank, 2. Mail it to Fire if the guild bank is filling up, 3. Use the item yourself if it is an upgrade for you or a consumable you need, 4. Give the item to another guildie who needs it. Do not auction the items that guild materials were used to make for your own personal gain.
