Senior CH Raider Insults the King of Stormwind

March 3, 2010 – Varian Wrynn, the current king of Stormwind, turned his back on The Contemporary Heroes Wednesday after senior raider – and long time troublemaker – Tungol told him “We don’t want your help. Please go away,” in Icecrown Citadel.

The king, aghast at the insult, abruptly left, taking his “Strength of Wrynn” buff with him. While the other 24 heroes in the raid remained confused, Tungol was overheard mumbling something about “We don’t need him. He isn’t my king anyway. I didn’t vote for him.”

Luckily for the raid, the king returned after some crafty diplomacy by CH guildmaster Firestaryvfd. There were, however, still many hard feelings.

“I respect the strength that the Contemporary Heroes bring to the fight against the Lich King, but this Tungol may want to stay out of Stormwind for a few weeks,” Wrynn explained. “There are many hazardous spots in my city and I would hate to see him suffer an unfortunate ‘accident’.”

Guild leadership met shortly after the raid to discuss punishment for the brash warrior but, to date, no decision has been made regarding his fate.

The raiding schedule has been posted for the month of March. Please check the link at the left hand side of the homepage.

Also, be aware that in-game invites will go out on a weekly basis. Please visit the calendar to help schedule your time for the raids not yet on the ingame calendar. (Also use this as a way to set goals for yourself to move up in raid ranking :) )

A reminder, the Fall of Naxxramas achievement (on any toon in the guild) is required to advance to R6 raid rank.

Marrowgar's Shadow Nowhere to be Found

February 2, 2010 - Lord "Punxsutawney" Marrowgar poked his head out of his hole late yesterday only to have it cut off before he had a chance to see his shadow. This, of course, means many more weeks of successful raiding for the Contemporary Heroes.

Good job on a new progression kill guys (Marrowgar 25).

Progression Team Downs First Wing in Icecrown Citadel

The Contemporary Heroes progression team defeated the first four bosses in Icecrown Citadel last night, taking a step closer to the final confrontation with the Lich King. "Without the effort of all the progression team members, who worked out strategies in earlier weeks for other encounters in this instance, this victory would not have been possible. With every victory in our guild, a small group represents the work put in by the guild as a whole, from the support of the progression team members not present for that perticular kill, to the support of those guildies who are not on the progression team, and who provide other types of support. This victory belongs to our guild as a whole, and I look forward to seeing every raider in our guild down Lord Saurfang, and eventually the Lich King."

Please take a moment to congratulate the guild on a job well done.

In Game Calendar Invites

In game calendar invites are out for the next two weeks. They are only able to be sent two weeks at a time due a limitation with the in game calendar. Please refer to the Raid Calendar on this website to get an idea of the raid schedule for the entire month of January.

The raiding schedule is available for the month of January. A couple of things to note, we will be offering two classic (or BC) raids for our soon to be level 80s to participate in as well. If you are level 65+ please be sure to take a look.

The highlights of the changes to our raiding system for January have been posted in the forums here: http://www.the-contemporary-heroes.net/forums/viewtopic.php?p=577#577 and the raiding information page has been updated to reflect these changes.

Please attend the guild meeting in vent on either Tuesday or Wednesday at 5 server in vent. The same information will be covered in each meeting.

It is strongly reccomended that you attend if possible.

The raiding calander is not yet published on the website. I am working on it.

Classic Raiding Week Returns!

With the holdiay week upon us, we are going to return to running some of the classic raids. The raids that are currently on the schedule are Molten Core, Blackwing Lair and the Sunwell.
